This project is my graduation project from the Copenhagen School of Design, Department of Space Design in 1990. We had got a location, Jorcks Passage in Copenhagen Centrum, where we could choose to make whatever we wanted.
Since my second passion is music, I chose to make a kind of mall where all was around music, that is, instrument makers, Music Score shop, Piano bar, Ballet school, Restaurant with live music, disco and concert hall.
At that time the passage was not covered by a glass roof. I decided to use the space as partly a passage as well as a concert hall in the evenings. So I designed a glass roof so that the space could be used all year and in all kinds of weather.
The glass roof has actually been added in reality now, some 25 years after my graduation. Don't know if someone has got inspired by my project ?!
The project contained an overall interior layout of the whole mall and detailed planning of one shop, - the Music Score Shop. Where the interior was designed in M1:10, and all furniture was designed in M 1:1.
